In 1976 Father Martin visited Memorial Medical Center, Long Beach California. During this visit he made two films:
1. Alcohol and the Family
2. Chalk Talk on Counseling
Alcohol and the Family was made in an auditorium at the hospital with a large public audience.
Chalk Talk on Counseling was made in a small conference room with the hospital's Alcholism Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) staff as the audience.
During this talk Fr. Martin emphasized Charism, Competence and Committment as desirable traits for addictions counselors
Webmaster Guy Lamunyon, then ARU evening charge nurse, can be seen in the bottom audience photo to the back of the room to the right of the screen
(wearing a blue shirt and with a dark moustache) along with other ARU staff.
